Top: Wisconsin 10th Voluntary Infantry Regiment Reunion at Kilbourne (Wis. Dells).
The capture of Ed's Regiment at Chickamauga occurred when the 18th, 36th, and 38th Alabama Regiments overran Scribner's 1st Brigade. This brigade consisted of the 38th Indiana, 94th Ohio, 2nd Ohio, 33rd Ohio, and 10th Wisconsin Regiments, though many were nothing more than company strength following their final battle. Many of those who survived their imprisonment and were still alive in 1911, attended the 16th Annual Reunion held at Kilbourne, and pictured above.

Above: 1904 Best Valley School House and students. The building was built by Solon Best, who was renowned for his carpentry and blacksmithing. Curge, Ed, and Hub all taught here, as well as my great grandfather and grandmother. I believe the building was burnt down for safety reasons in the late 1960s or early '70s.
